In the late 1880’s each of the several hotels around the lake had its own steamboat. Most of them made scheduled stops around the lake. The Barbara J was added to the Conneaut Lake Cruises fleet in 1972 as a passenger and charter vessel. The Barbara J was retired for a few years. The Barbara J Group was excited to announce the return of The Barbara J in 2007.
